Dreams do come true…

We had been camping in the area around Duck Creek for years.  We have made sure we are available the weekend of the Chili Cook off each year for the past seven years.  We enjoy the small town atmosphere and how nice everyone is.  After each trip we discussed what a wonderful area this would be to enjoy with our growing children.  While dreaming of having a cabin, we attended log home shows, timber-framing shows, and I subscribed to three different log home magazines.  Once we found a lot, we thought we could build the cabin ourselves, ha ha… once the reality of driving up Friday night, working all Saturday and part of Sunday before we had to head back home (and where would we stay, in our tent???), we realized we couldn’t build a cabin alone. Our kids would have had kids of their own before we were done.  We looked at old cabins but they needed too much work and for the price we thought we could have something new. We then considered a log home kit, but that ended up being more then double what our budget was and we would still have a large portion to complete ourselves.  After years of thinking about building and asking countless realtors about properties, we learned of a great realtor named Cindy Allen.  She turned out to be an angel!  Cindy is one of the most patience people we have ever met.  That comes after realizing for two years we had asked her questions and still not found “the lot”.  She said that we would find it, that the perfect lot is out there for us. She was right.  We knew it as soon as we stepped out of Cindy’s truck and on to the lot!  Finally, we found THE PERFECT LOT!  That’s when we turned to Rudy and Jim at Cedar Mountain Builders.  We had met Rudy a few months before and he too was so amazing.  He said that he could do almost anything we wanted, that he worked for us… customer service that I had not experienced up until now.   We were concerned on what to do once we did find the perfect lot.  We discussed options with Rudy, and instead of pictures like other builders we spoke to, he drove us around and showed us a few cabins he had built to let us see the differences.  He took time from his busy schedule and made us feel special.  Within days of deciding to move forward Rudy and the wonderful crew at CMB began breaking ground!  I was pleasantly surprised they began so fast because I had heard horror stories of builders in the area not completing jobs, not showing up for days but that certainly was not our experience with the wonderful group of people of Cedar Mountain Builders. Rudy exceeded our expectations with his dedication to making sure everything went smooth from the beginning to the end. His insight, experience and contributions helped us complete our wonderful home!  He even took time out to send us pictures via e-mail each week keeping us updated on the building.  Amazing! We had hoped to have a small get-a-way, but we ended up with a beautiful second home we have trouble leaving.  The construction was so smooth, fast and professionally done.  Before we even had moved in we had gained a large amount of equity. Needless to say we are convinced that Cedar Mountain Builders was the best company to complete our dream.  We try to inform everyone who is interested in building or buying a cabin how great our experience was with entire team at Cedar Mountain Builders.

We are enjoying the Good life, thanks to Rudy and his crew at Cedar Mountain Builders.
